Merley House 19th July

We are deeply grateful to the wonderful guests who joined us at Merley House on July 19, 2024. Their bubbling excitement and eagerness for ghost hunting set the perfect tone for the evening.

Our adventure began in the basement, where Gary, our teddy bear, immediately started flashing. The mag lights flickered on and off in response to our questions. Through a glass and ball activity on the table, we connected with a young man, whom we believe to be around 15 years old. Another presence seemed content with simply moving the glass around the table. Although our attempts with the Ouija board yielded no significant responses, we were intrigued by noises from a different room. When we investigated, we found the entity responded only to the men, even expressing a desire for the women to leave, so we let the men continue alone.

In the second half of the night, we ventured upstairs in the beautiful house. We settled along the corridor, calling out to any spirits present. When we asked if there were children, we heard a clear "yes" in response, though none of our light-up toys activated. Moving into the nursery, we experienced a multitude of conversations through a glass and ball on the table. We believe we were communicating with a nanny, some children, and one of our guest’s grandfathers—all trying to come through simultaneously. The nanny seemed to be trying to hold the others back and became cross when we questioned her about it.

It was a fantastic night with incredible guests. Thank you, Merley House, for hosting us—you are fabulous.
