Last night at the Ancient Ram Inn in Gloucestershire was an unforgettable experience. Despite having a smaller group, the energy was palpable. Among our guests were some newcomers, initially skeptical, and several veteran ghost hunters.
Before the guests even arrived, both my Piers Mhe and I noticed a shadow moving across the door in the bar area, setting an eerie tone for the evening.
We began our investigation in the base room, now arranged as the lounge area of the house. Here, we received responses through our mag lights. Remarkably, the two lights we were using turned on simultaneously and then switched off at the same time, even though they were placed far apart. This phenomenon occurred several times before the spirits seemed to concentrate on one light on the table. One of our guests started asking questions and discovered, through the lights, that we were communicating with John, the past owner of the Ancient Ram Inn. Although John didn't provide much information, he was playful and informed us that there were three other spirits in the building.
Throughout the evening, we experienced various bursts of activity. Whoever was present seemed to enjoy playing with Gary the teddy bear and the K2 meter.
A particularly inexplicable event occurred in the witches' room. A few guests and I were seated around a table, asking for it to move. The table began to vibrate, and soon, the floor around us started vibrating as well. It felt as though our chairs were bouncing up and down at times. The floorboards in that room are known to be bouncy, but none of us were moving, nor was anyone walking around. This unusual activity lasted for quite a while. When the other team entered the room after us, they did not experience the same phenomena, but many of them felt nauseous and uneasy. They placed the teddy bear on the table between the two beds and asked if someone was in the far corner, as everyone felt watched from there. The bear responded immediately, as if confirming the presence.
It was a fantastic night with wonderful guests. Thank you all for joining us. We look forward to returning to the Ancient Ram Inn soon.
